I’m Anita Marie Martin: entertainment industry insider Vocal Coach High-Performance Vocal arts educator, Extreme Vocals Specialist, Producer, Voice Function Specialist™, and the founder of Make Loud Noise.

OUR DNA
Most vocal pedagogues don’t touch production, and most producers don’t practice vocal pedagogy. Some say that when Anita Marie does both at once, She’s crossing borders or working "outside her scope of practice": they try to force Anita Marie’s work into belonging in the interstitial gaps between professions. But, as a born-and-bred Aussie with Tejano origins from the Rio Grande Valley on one side and the Barony of Erskine in Renfrewshire on the other, the DNA of thriving in contested spaces is in Anita Marie’s blood. In the RGV they say, "No cruzamos la frontera, la frontera nos cruzó a nosotros." (We didn't cross the border, the border crossed us.) In the lowlands of Scotland they say, "The gales blaw aff the braes, but we bide." (The storms come off the hills, but we remain.) To Anita marie, she simply inhabits the space of music creation that others seek to divide.

How do We do what We do?
In the Nahuatl language, they speak of an idea, "In ixtli, in yollotl" (the face and the heart). This is the work of the Curandera or the Lucky Minnie (a cultural healer or woman of power). It's their role to teach someone to forge a Face (Identity) and a Heart (Will). Through Placitas or Ceilidh, the practice of witnessing oral history as shared resistance, Anita Marie listens for the alignment of the human in front of her. When she listens, She doesn’t just hear your vocal technique or if it was a clean take. Anita Marie acts as a Guardian for your Vocal Identity, ensuring your authenticity has no choice but to show up unapologetically. It’s not just about the function of your human instrument or the sonic clarity - it’s about what every cell shouts about you through the music (medicine) you create.
